AHEAD OF EARTH DAY / A rich program of the event ‘Spring in Primorje’ will take place at Mrčevo Pond in Mrčevo

Ahead of Earth Day, the City of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, and DURA are organizing the event “Spring in Primorje”, which will take place on Sunday, 19 April 2026, at Mrčevo Pond in Mrčevo.

The program begins at 9:00 a.m. with a walking and cycling tour titled “On the Paths of Our Ancestors.” The walking tour is 7 kilometers long and follows the route Mrčevo–Mravinjac–Mrčevo. The cycling tour is 20 kilometers long and follows the route Mrčevo–Majkovi–Mrčevo–Gromača–Mrčevo. Registration is also required via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. As part of the promotion of the Interreg Italy–Croatia Value Plus project, a thematic tour titled “Water in Stone” will also be organized in English. The tour starts at 9:00 a.m. from Pile to Ploče, and from Ploče at 10:00 a.m. participants will continue by bus to Mrčevo. The second part of the program takes place at Mrčevo Pond, starting at 11:00 a.m. and lasting until 1:00 p.m. The program includes performances by the Zaton Brass Band, Little Linđo Zaton, the Linđo Folklore Ensemble, the Dubrovnik Primorje Wedding Association, DJ Vjeverica, and Klapa Kaše.

The event will also feature a presentation of traditional products by Dubrovnik artisans, as well as a light refreshment (brunch). With prior reservation made at least one day in advance, lunch can be arranged at several rural households: Musladin Family Household (Ljubač), Agrotourism Laptalo (Gromača), and Knez Tavern (Pobrežje).

To enable all visitors to enjoy the rich program, free transport will be provided by the public transport operator Libertas Dubrovnik. Scheduled departures from Pile to Mrčevo are at 8:00 a.m., and from Ploče at 10:00 a.m. The return journey from Mrčevo to Pile is planned for 1:30 p.m.
