City Guard Returns to Watch Over Dubrovnik’s Gates

Throughout history, Dubrovnik, as a fortified city, had its own guard keeping watch outside the city walls and warning of potential attackers. Today, you can still witness this tradition with the City Guard. 
From June 18 to September 13, 2025, every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 to 8:30 PM, visitors can witness the guards marching down Stradun before taking their posts at Pile and Ploče Gates.
