Church of the Annunciation

In 1534, Renaissance master Petar Andrijić built the Church of the Annunciation of Mary. Although the ribbed vault, pointed window arches, and some architectural elements were crafted in the Gothic style, the church as a whole stands as a masterpiece of the transitional Gothic-Renaissance style. The richly sculpted main façade with its portal and bell-cot, as well as the side portal, showcase exquisite craftsmanship. The tradition of writing votive messages on the interior walls of the church has been preserved to this day.
