The Faculty of Economics at the University of Dubrovnik is organizing the seventh edition of the international scientific conference, Dubrovnik International Economic Meeting (DIEM 2025), under the theme "Resilience in Times of Global Economic Uncertainty – Challenges and Opportunities." The conference will take place from the 28th to the 30th of May 2025. Its goal is to bring together researchers from around the world to present the results of their empirical economic and social research on current economic issues.
DIEM is a biennial scientific conference that, since its first edition, has established itself as an important forum for the exchange of ideas, research results, and best practices in the fields of economics and the social sciences. This year, the event will be held in a hybrid format—both live in Dubrovnik and online—enabling an even wider reach and the participation of attendees from across the globe.
The Economy of Resilience in an Era of Global Uncertainty
The discussions at DIEM 2025 will centre on the resilience of economies in conditions of global instability. Also featured is Vanessa Druskat, a professor from the University of New Hampshire, USA, known for her research on emotional intelligence and team dynamics, who will present insights into how emotional competence supports organizational resilience.
