Dubrovnik has welcomed a new address that is set to resonate strongly with the meetings and events industry. Hotel Sumratin is a five-star urban hotel that introduces a fresh, destination-driven approach to conferences, meetings, and corporate events. Located directly on Dubrovnik’s most loved Lapad promenade and only three kilometres from the UNESCO-listed Old Town, the hotel offers its guests the experience of Dubrovnik as it is lived: by the sea, among cafés, restaurants, and authentic culture, while still enjoying a sense of calm and privacy that supports focus and a productive stay.

A new generation of meetings in Dubrovnik

Thanks to its central yet relaxed seaside location, Hotel Sumratin is particularly well suited for meetings, incentives, and smaller to mid-sized corporate events. Easy access to the Old Town, Dubrovnik Airport, and spacious on-site parking ensures smooth logistics for both organisers and participants.

By day, delegates can focus in thoughtfully designed spaces; by evening, they can step outside to the promenade, take in views from the hotel’s rooftop pool and bar, relax or recharge in the hotel’s spa & gym, or gather over the hotel’s thoughtfully designed dining concepts, all within walking distance and without interrupting the flow of a productive day. By bringing together high-quality accommodation, modern conference facilities, and a strong sense of place, the hotel provides a setting where professionals can feel connected to Dubrovnik.

Hotel Sumratin offers two modern conference rooms designed to accommodate a wide range of business events:

  • Cvijeta Conference Room (77 m²), for up to 70 delegates in theatre setup
  • Orsula Conference Room (71 m²), for up to 60 delegates in theatre setup

Both rooms are fully air-conditioned, soundproofed, and equipped with built-in projectors, integrated sound systems with wireless microphones, flipcharts, carpeted floors, and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The spaces can be adapted for theatre, classroom, U-shape, or boardroom formats, making them suitable for conferences, workshops, board meetings, and executive gatherings.

In addition to the conference rooms, the hotel also offers the possibility to host corporate lunches, dinners, and networking events across its three spacious restaurants, available for privatization, providing an ideal setting for more relaxed meetings, social gatherings, or post-conference events.

Where events are rooted in Dubrovnik’s identity

What truly distinguishes Hotel Sumratin as an event venue is its strong narrative and design concept. The hotel was renovated with the intention of telling a story – not following a standard hospitality formula. Inspired by Dubrovnik’s Renaissance heritage, the interiors combine traditional materials such as stone and wood with contemporary interpretations of light, proportion, and space.

Custom stonework subtly references the city walls, while hallways feature bespoke wallpapers created as an “Ode to Dubrovnik”, celebrating the Republic’s intellectual and cultural legacy. A palette of Dubrovnik green, terracotta rooftops, and Mediterranean tones creates continuity, while local artworks and handcrafted details add depth and authenticity. The result is a refined, immersive hotel experience, one that offers all the functionality required for meetings and events, yet feels personal, culturally rooted, and unmistakably connected to Dubrovnik.
