Record breaking first half of the year in Dubrovnik

From 1st of January to 30th of June 2019, there were 582 883 tourists (23 percent more than in the same period last year) in Dubrovnik, with 1 610 904 overnight stays (9 percent more than 2018). Since the beginning of the year, most guests arrived from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Croatia, Spain, Finland, Australia, Canada and Ireland.

 

Of the total number of tourists from 1st of January to 30th of June 2019, 370,282 guests were in 51 Dubrovnik hotels, an increase of 27 percent in hotel accommodation compared to the same period of 2018, and there were 941 483 overnight stays , or 6 percent more than last year.

In private accommodation from the beginning of the year to the end of June, there were 160,542 guests, an increase of 16 percent compared to the last year. During the same period, there were 515 516 nights spent in private accommodation, which is 14 percent more than in 2018.

During June, Dubrovnik had 195 133 arrivals, or 11 percent more than in June 2018, with 610 546 overnight stays (up 5 percent compared to the same period last year). In June, most guests were from the United Kingdom, USA, Germany, France, Ireland, Australia, Spain, Canada, Finland and Sweden.
