The parish church of St. Andrew at Pile gained its current dimensions in 1512 through the expansion of the original pre-Romanesque church from the 9th – 11th century, which then became the apse.
A stone slab with a braided motif embedded in the outer wall of the apse is a surviving element from the earliest period.
The church's entrance doors, rose window, choir, baptismal font, and confessional were restored in the 19th century, while the interior, which houses a 16th-century triptych of the Virgin and Saints by Pier Giovanni, was renovated in the 20th century.
