Concert: ARACATACA & NIANSE, + young bands from Dubrovnik.
As part of the AJMO project, we invite you at Club Lazareti on Saturday, February 13th at 8:00 PM
Live concert: ARACATACA & NIANSE, + young bands from Dubrovnik.
We’re bringing a fresh sound to the historic walls of Lazareti!
Performing will be Aracataca—a young yet already established band from Šibenik—whose original musical style has grown and evolved alongside them, giving them a truly authentic signature. They will be joined by Nianse, a young band from Dubrovnik that shares a similar developmental path, stylistic direction, and creative approach.
Young bands from the Dubrovnik Rock School will also be taking the stage.
Aracataca is a promising indie-rock band from Šibenik. Their unique blend of bossa nova and post-punk brings a sense of freshness and playfulness to the local music scene; notably, in 2016, they had the opportunity to open for Lenny Kravitz at the Pula Arena. They are well-known for their creative energy and innovative approach. Their musical style has evolved over time, transitioning from simpler structures to more complex arrangements.
NIANSE (Dubrovnik, Croatia)
An alternative rock band from Dubrovnik, characterized by profound lyrics, rich arrangements, and an innovative approach to making music. Each member contributes their own unique "nuance"—as the band’s name suggests—resulting in a fresh, organic fusion of various genres, including rock, pop, funk, reggae, metal, grunge, and world music. In addition to Dubrovnik, they have performed in numerous other places (Zagreb, Korčula, Mostar, Sarajevo, Nikšić, Istanbul), and the band is currently more active than ever before. Back in 2019, in an interview with *DuList*, they pointed out that the city didn't lack musicians, but rather an audience. Through their continuous work and progress, they can hardly complain about that anymore—the Dubrovnik audience now eagerly follows every one of their performances!
The concert is organized by Art Workshop Lazareti in collaboration with the Audiovisual Centre Dubrovnik and the Art Factory Podroom (TUP). This musical program is being realized through the "AJMO!" initiative by the Music Export Office Croatia, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
"AJMO!" is a project designed to encourage consistent concert activity throughout the Republic of Croatia, with a special focus on communities where contemporary musical genres may lack commercial viability but hold significant cultural value. The "AJMO!" project is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Music Export Office Croatia (We Move Music Croatia).
