Trail 425 - Dubrovnik Hiking & Biking Trail

Special Focus on Route 425 (Route Logic):

This trail is actually a combination of several smaller sections and offers incredible terrain diversity:

Historical Section: Following the route of the old Dubrovnik aqueduct (which supplied the city with water from the 15th century onward) and the "former railway" (the old narrow-gauge "Ćiro" railway) provides flat terrain with fascinating harbour views.

River Section: Descending into Komolac and walking beside the Ombla spring and riverbank offers freshness and a completely different microclimate.

Mountain Village Section (Upper Villages): The climb toward Petrovo Selo and Osojnik is the heart of the Dubrovnik karst landscape. Here visitors experience the true hinterland and traditional way of life.

Coastal Section: The return from Trsteno and Orašac above the Adriatic highway offers shade along old pathways, while the section through Zaton and Štikovica is perfect for a final seaside break before climbing back toward the Bridge.
