Day 2: Island-Hopping on the Elaphite Islands

Morning

Ferry to the Elaphite Islands

Catch an early ferry from Gruž Harbor to the Elaphite Islands. You can grab the opportunity to stock up on fresh fruit at the Gruž market. These idyllic islands—Koločep, Lopud, and Šipan—are renowned for their lush greenery, sandy beaches, and charming villages.

Start with Koločep, a car-free island perfect for a peaceful morning of exploring. With a private excursion "three-island cruise" you can visit all three islands and with the public ferry service easily visit two.

Top Tip: Wear comfortable walking shoes for island trails and bring swimwear for impromptu dips in the Adriatic.

Relax on Lopud and Dine on Šipan

Head to Lopud, famous for Šunj Beach, one of the few sandy beaches in the region. Enjoy a leisurely swim or rent a kayak or SUP to explore hidden coves.

For lunch, take the ferry to Šipan and dine at a family-run konoba (traditional tavern). The seafood is as fresh as it gets—don't miss trying grilled octopus or buzara.

Top Tip: Rent a bike on Lopud or Šipan for a scenic way to explore these islands.
