Day 3: Trsteno Arboretum and the Upper Villages of Dubrovnik
Visit Trsteno Arboretum
A short drive from Dubrovnik takes you to Trsteno, home to one of the oldest arboretums in Europe. Wander through its manicured gardens, admire its ancient plane trees, and enjoy sweeping views of the Adriatic.
Top Tip: Bring a camera—the arboretum's blend of history and nature makes it incredibly photogenic.

Hiking in Upper Villages
Drive to the Upper Villages of Dubrovnik, such as Mrčevo, Brsečine, Mravinjac and Ljubač, for an afternoon hike. This is also a great sport for lunch in a traditional rural household, enjoy peka, a slow-cooked dish of meat and vegetables cooked under a bell-shaped lid.
Carry on your journey to Dubrovačko Primorje and check out the picturesque seaside town of Slano. These lesser-visited areas offer panoramic views of Dubrovnik and the Adriatic.
Top Tip: Pack water, sunscreen, and snacks for your hike.

Dinner by the Adriatic in Zaton
Wrap up your adventurous day with a scenic drive to Zaton, a tranquil village located just a short distance from Dubrovnik. Here, enjoy a delightful dinner by the Adriatic, where you can savour fresh seafood and traditional Dalmatian dishes while taking in the stunning views of the calm blue waters.
Zaton is known for its charming waterfront restaurants, many of which offer outdoor seating with panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding hills.
Top Tip: Arrive in time for sunset to enjoy the beautiful transition of colours across the sky while savouring your meal.
