Dubrovnik is the champion of Croatian tourism in 2016
During the Days of Croatian Tourism, the traditional gathering of Croatian tourism industry workers in Bol on the island of Brač, Dubrovnik was proclaimed the Champion of Croatian Tourism in 2016, as well as the Best City Break destination. Dubrovnik hotels also proved the high quality of this product segment by winning many awards, especially Villa Dubrovnik which was declared Hotel of the Year. On behalf of the city of Dubrovnik, Vlaho Margaretić, head of the Office for Entrepreneurship, Tourism and the Sea, received the recognition from the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia Gari Capelli. This is the second title of Champion of Tourism for Dubrovnik because the daily newspaper Večernji list also gave the city this prestigious recognition.
