Feeling like a stranger, always and everywhere?
Temporal distance is necessary for us to gain a better opportunity for a more precise and deeper confrontation with the state of things. Not only for what something is now, but also for the complex relations through which something is defined through the other, connects and comes into being, as additional coordinates through time that can also give us direction or show us how things can now be in perspective as what is to come.
There are many indicators that show to us that we live in a difficult historical time, marked by a difficulty that arises not only from the problems and horrors of the century that have already been seen, but also from the dead end we find ourselves in, consisting of facing the garbage dump of history. The weight of that burden is too great and reinforces our sense of hopelessness and additionally like the second act of "Waiting for Godot"[1] - the endless repetitive waiting, waiting for something to happen.
